Unique event in the world of Skiing and Highline.

It brings together practitioners from all over the world on the fabulous natural site of Les deux Têtes, in the heart of the ski resort of Les Arcs, facing Mont Blanc.

Right in the heart of the Les Arcs ski resort is the fabulous natural site of Les Deux Têtes, with a panoramic view of the Haute Tarentaise valley and the Massif duMont-Blanc.

Highliners from all over the world, from beginners to top international athletes, meet here, in a friendly atmosphere with the 80s' neon colors !

​

This year again the spotlight is on the highline freestyle : discipline in full swing, the world's best athletes in the discipline will be present, and the show will be visible to all skiers passing by the summit of the Mont Blanc chairlift.

​

A speed competition(speedline) will take place on the two largest lines of the site which pass just above the track.

For the initiations, the general public will be able to join the gathering and entertainment at the Square of the Sun, Arc 1600, on Friday at the end of the day.

  • Mandatory harness and double lanyard

  • Jummard & Grigri handle for access to four lines (50m, 90m & les250m)

Winter Clothes

It can be chilly in the Alps in April, and the spot is at an altitude of 2300m, so don't forget:

  • Pants and warm jacket

  • Gloves and hat

  • Sunglasses/Goggles

​

Highline Freestyle

The competition is a MASTER ISA.

It will take place Thursday & Friday on the two 55m parallels.

The 24 athletes will have access to the lines on Wednesday to train.

The prize money will be the same for men and women and will be as follows:

1: 800€, 2: 600€, 3: 300€, 4: 200€, 5: 100€

Highline Speedline

The competition is an ISA GRAND SLAM. You'll be able to register on site.

The qualifications will take place Thursday and Friday, the final will take place on Saturday afternoon.
 

Frequently Ask Questions

This FAQ concerns highliners participating in the festival.

How to come ?

By train: Bourg-Saint-Maurice station, then shuttles to Le Reclus campsite in Séez.

And from the campsite to the spot?

​

By shuttle or car to the foot of the funicular in Bourg St Maurice (5min).

Funicular is included in the skipass you have for the 4 days of the festival. It takes you to the foot of the slopes of Arc 1600, you take the Mont Blanc chairlift and arrive directly at the Highline site.

Is the Ski Pass valid for the entire RESORT?

Yes, the skipass allows you to go skiing in all Arc 1600, Arc 1800, Arc 200, Peisey-Vallandry sectors (excluding Paradiski and La Plagne area).

Can I take the chairlift without skis?

No, the chairlift giving access to the spot is forbidden to pedestrians, it is mandatory to be equipped with ski or snowboard equipment or yooner. Note, the chairlift is also forbidden to dogs!

I don't have any equipment, where can I rent some?

We will indicate a store at the foot of the funicular with a preferential rate for the event, or in any rental store.

I have a low ski/snowboard level, is it easy to access the spot?

Yes, it's a blue slope that arrives and leaves from the highline spot.
 

Isn't it too cold for camping?

The campsite is in the valley at an altitude of 800m, in general the temperatures are super pleasant and the toilets and showers are heated.

If you prefer a bungalow type accommodation it is possible, we let you contact the campsite directly. (This will obviously be at your own expensee.)

Can I stay longer than the included nights?

No problem, you have to contact the campsite directly to add nights.

Is it accessible to highline beginners?

Yes, there are lines of all lengths, and volunteers are on hand to help you.

Are the competitions open to everyone?

​

The competition ofhighline Freestyleis open to 24 H&F athletes, upon registration.

The competition ofHighline Speedlineis open to all festival participants, qualifications take place on Thursday & Friday.

​

Do spectators pay for THE Festival ?

The activities and the festival are open and free for spectators. A ski pass is required to access the Deux Têtes spot.

Can I get my ticket refunded?

​

Festival tickets are non-refundable by the organization. On the other hand, it is possible to resell it to someone, by giving us the name of the person.
