FAQ

All the answers to your questions about internships

PREREQUISITES

  • Have already participated in a Slack'icimes course

  • Mastering the sit start on a line on the ground is strongly recommended to enjoy this course.

Where does the internship take place?

The courses take place in the resort of Les Arcs, in Savoie.

Every day we have appointments at the bottom of the Cachette chairlift, in Arc 1600. In most internships, we spend the Monday morning in Bourg Saint Maurice.

ACCOMODATION

Bivouac rules will be different this year, more info coming soon !

I want my own accomodation

If you are more of a camping person:

- without a car: you can look at the campsites at Bourg Saint Maurice (Funnicular access)

- With Car: The Lanchettes campsite is in a magnificent setting!

Otherwise, many RBnBs and rentals exist. We advise you to look instead at Arc 1600 or Bourg Saint Maurice if you want to avoid traveling.

Which internship to choose?

Do you only have one weekend available? Our Discovery Weekend are made for you.

Workshops First steps, And Discovering my body are aimed at beginners, whether you have never been on a line, or you want to progress. Both workshops contain as much highline as each other.

Discovering my body contains in addition, extra workshops (Yoga, meditation, QiQong, Acro, etc.) to deepen the management of emotions and fear.

You wish to learn how to rig a highline in addition to practicing? The internship goal autonomy is just what you need.

And if it's thehighline freestyle that interests you, whether you are at the beginning of your highline practice, or already advanced, the course Bouncy'cîmes will make you bounce in all directions!

What equipment should I bring?

Collective equipment for the Highline is provided.

We ask trainees to bring their harness and a pair of double lanyards.

Regarding the harness, a climbing harness with a double attach point is ideal.

About lanyards, they are simply a climbing safety lanyard, to secure yourself on the rock. You can buy them ready-made or make them with a piece of rope and two carabiners.
Via ferrata lanyards are not suitable.

Can I come without a car?

Yes ! The easiest way to come to Les Arcs is to take the train to Bourg Saint Maurice station.

You can then directly access the Arc 1600 by funicular.

Can I come with my dog?

To access the highline spot, we takea chairlift, on which dogs are not accepted.

If you still come with your dog, you will need to access the spot on foot (800m D+, 1h30/2h walk).

To take full advantage of the course, we therefore advise you to  to have your doggie looked after :)
